CLARKSVILLE – Freshman guard Jordyn Adams, of the Austin Peay men’s basketball team, has been named the Copies in a Flash APSU Athlete of the Week.

A Silsbee, Texas native, Jordyn Adams, exploded for a career-best 31 points effort at UT Martin, knocking down a career-best seven shots from beyond the arc. This included five three-pointers in the first half to pace the Govs to a 50-31 halftime lead. He led six Govs in double figures to allow Austin Peay to remain unbeaten in league play. During the Southeast Missouri game, he scored 11 points as one of three Govs in double figures.

For the week, he averaged 21.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists and a steal.

The Copies in a Flash APSU Athlete of the Week is selected by the APSU Athletic Communications staff each Wednesday during the academic year. Copies in a Flash, of Clarksville, sponsors the award.

Other notable performances by Austin Peay athletes included:

• Sabrina Richmond, of the Austin Peay track and field team, is a junior from Atlanta, Ga that dominated the 400m dash at the Samford Indoor Clash. She posted a 56.14 mark for her season’s first win in the event, retaking the league lead. The mark ranks 73^rd among the Division I student athletes this season.
• Sophomore Maggie Knowles, of Austin Peay women’s basketball team, is a Murfreesboro native that averaged 11.5 points and 3.5 three pointers made in two games against Southeast Missouri and UT Martin. Against UT Martin, Knowles exploded for 17 points, knocking down five three-pointers.
