first half, but battled back to lead before falling 43-40 at Morehead State,
Saturday, in Ohio Valley Conference play.
Austin Peay (6-23, 3-17
OVC) missed its first six field-goal attempts and committed seven turnovers
before freshman Alex Bivens three-point field goal with 12:06 remaining ended
the drought. By then, Morehead
State had opened the game
with an 11-0 run.

within five points, 22-17, at halftime, the Lady Govs opened the second half
with an 11-5 run to take their only lead of the game, 28-27, with 11:59
remaining. That lead would last 27 seconds as MSU's Chynna Bozeman responded
with a three-point field goal which started a 10-0 run that got the Eagles lead
back to nine points, 37-28, with 8:41 left.
Austin Peay would make
two more charges, a 7-0 run getting it within two points, 37-35, with 6:10 left
and a later 5-0 run cutting the lead to one point, 41-40, with 3:19 remaining.
That was as close as the Lady Govs would get as neither team made a field goal
in the final three minutes.
