men's tennis team was swept at Tennessee Tech, 7-0, in rescheduled Ohio Valley
Conference match, Monday. The Govs fall to 3-13 overall with a 1-5 league mark.
The Govs played close in
the doubles competition, but ended up losing each match, 8-6.
Jay Wilkinson narrowly the
missed the Govs only opportunity at a win, losing a dramatic tiebreaker at No.
5 singles. Wilkinson lost the first set to Lloyd Harris, 7-5, but rebounded to
take the second set, 6-4. The tiebreaker played out as well as the match, but
Harris was the first to gain a two-point advantage and won 14-12.
