CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. ? In its final home weekend, Austin Peay State University's baseball team welcomes all Little Leaguers to Raymond C. Hand Park as the Govs take on Ohio Valley Conference rival Murray State, beginning with a 4:30 p.m., Friday doubleheader and concluding the series with a 1 p.m., Saturday game.
All Little Leaguers will receive free admission by wearing their team jerseys and will be able to keep all foul balls, courtesy of Legends Bank, Friday, and Cornerstone Financial Credit Union, Saturday. Adult admission is $5.
Little Leaguers are welcomed to join the Govs on the field for the National Anthem for Friday's first game and on Saturday. Also, prior to Saturday's game the Govs will recognize their seven seniors: Tyler Farrar, J.B. Gilbert, Rafael Hill, Will Hogue, Josh Kemph, Jeff Lykins and Josh Meeker.
The weekend series is vital as both teams are battling for a spot in the Ohio Valley Conference tournament, which begins Tuesday at Brooks Stadium in Paducah, Ky. All three games will be broadcast on Solid Gospel 105.1, with Van Stokes delivering the play-by-play.
