- Austin Peay finished the game with 668 offensive yards, its most since posting an OVC record 701 yards against Kentucky Wesleyan in 1994.
- 492 yards of that offensive effort came through the running game, its second-best running attack since the 1996 season.
- Kentel Williams finished with 203 rushing yards while playing only one half, he amassed that total on eight rushing attempts – a 25.4 yard per attempt average.
- Prince Momodu (68 yards), Tre Nation (59 yards) and Jeremiah Oatsvall (51 yards) also had 50-yard rushing outings.
- Quarterback JaVaughn Craig finished with four rushing touchdowns, becoming the first Governor to rush for four scores in a game since Chris Fletcher in 2006.
- Austin Peay's 10 rushing touchdowns broke the OVC record set in in 1995 by UT Martin against Bethel.
- The Governors scored the game's first touchdown, giving them their first lead of the 2017 season.

- Nate Howard, making his first start for the Governors, led the team with eight tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss and a quarterback hurry.
- Howard's 3.5 tackles for loss are the most by an APSU defender since Antonio Faulkner against Cumberland in 2010.
- Jeremiah Mitchell and Gunnar Scholato also had eight tackles each. 29 Governors recorded a tackle in the contest.
- The Governors picked off three passes and scored on each of the ensuing possession.
- The three interceptions were the Governors most since 2012 when they had three picks against both Culver-Stockton and UT-Martin.
- Trent Taylor's first quarter interception was his first career pick.
- Malik Boynton made his first career interception in the third quarter.
- Dekeivis Perry intercepted a pass in the fourth quarter, it was his first career INT.

- Austin Peay blocked two kicks in the game – its first multi-blocked kick contest since knocking down three kicks against Southeast Missouri in 2008.
- Gunnar Scholato blocked a 33-yard field goal attempt by Morehead State in the second quarter.
- Derrick James blocked a PAT in the fourth quarter but the ensuing return by the Govs defense was negated by penalty.
- The Governors only punt attempt on the night came off the foot of quarterback Jeremiah Oatsvall in the second quarter. His 17-yard punt finished inside the 20-yard line.
