Coaches Show featuring Fanning and Stanfill, Monday

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – With baseball and softball season now in full swing, the Austin Peay athletics department, Five Star Radio Group, and the Hand Family Companies present the weekly Austin Peay Coaches Show featuring head baseball coach Roland Fanning and head softball coach Kassie Stanfill, 6 p.m., Monday at Buffalo Wild Wings on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard.

Fanning and Stanfill will recap each team's start to the season before looking ahead to another full week of games.

Fanning and the baseball team are coming off a three-game set at No. 12 Oklahoma State, were the Governors dropped three games to the Cowboys at O'Brate Stadium in Stillwater, Oklahoma. The baseball team is back in action with a 6 p.m., Tuesday midweek contest against Southern Indiana that has been moved to USI Baseball Field in Evansville, Indiana, due to damages sustained at Raymond C. Hand Park during Friday's severe weather.

The Governors are then slated to host a four-game set with Purdue Fort Wayne, Friday-Sunday, at Raymond C. Hand Park.

After going 3-1 at the WKU Spring Fling, Stanfill and the softball team will play a 4 p.m., Tuesday contest against Providence at Cathi Maynard Park. Austin Peay then hosts the Governors Classic, Friday-Sunday, where it will play a pair of games against both Illinois-Chicago and Belmont. The Governors then close a five-game homestand when they host a 3 p.m., Monday tilt with Green Bay.

Presented weekly, the Austin Peay Coaches Show will feature Austin Peay head baseball coach Roland Fanning and head softball coach Kassie Stanfill throughout the spring season. The Austin Peay Coaches Show will air live on ESPN Clarksville (104.1 FM and 540 AM) and is simulcast online.
