Clarksville, Tenn. – Junior wide receiver and kick returner Kyran Moore, of the Austin Peay State University football team, has been named the Copies in a Flash APSU Athlete of the Week.

Moore tallied 188 all-purpose yards at No. 16 Eastern Illinois, Saturday, compiling much of his yardage with a 98-yard kick return for touchdown to open the second half, the longest play by a Governor since 2013 and the third-longest in the NCAA this season. Moore did his damage against an EIU squad that entered play with the conference lead in kick-return defense (13.67 yards per return).

The Bessemer, Alabama native was named adidas ®/Ohio Valley Conference Specialist of the Week, the first weekly honor awarded to an APSU football player in 2016 and the first specialist award since 2011 (Stephen Stansell).

Other notable performances by Austin Peay athletes included:

• Junior keeper Lindsey Todd, of the soccer team, posted a clean sheet with five saves in the Governors 1-0 win at Morehead State to open conference play.
• Junior receiver Jared Beard, of the football team, caught a career-best 11 passes for 176 yards and two touchdowns in the Governors road contest at EIU.
• Junior Kaitlyn Teeter, of the volleyball team, had double-digit kills in Austin Peay’s conference-opening wins against Southeast Missouri (13 kills) and UT Martin (14 kills), running her streak of double-digit kill matches to seven and earning OVC Newcomer of the Week honors as well.
