Clarksville, Tenn. – Senior forward Tatiana Ariza, of Austin Peay State University women’s soccer team, has been named the Copies in a Flash APSU Athlete of the Week.
Ariza netted a hat trick in the Lady Govs Ohio Valley Conference road opener at Tennessee Tech, Friday, needing just 48 minutes to score three goals and assist on a fourth. It was the third career hat trick for the Bogota, Colombia native and her 12th career multi-goal game as a Lady Gov.
An international business major, Ariza leads the OVC in points (25) and goals (11), ranking third nationally in points per game (2.50) and fourth in goals per game (1.10).
For her efforts, Ariza was named OVC Offensive Player of the Week, her first weekly award from the conference in 2013 and the fourth of her Austin Peay career. She also earned College Sports Madness OVC Player of the Week honors.
The Copies in a Flash APSU Athlete of the Week is selected by the APSU Sports Information staff each Tuesday during the academic year. Copies in a Flash, of Clarksville, sponsors the award.

Other notable performances by Austin Peay athletes included:
  • Senior middle blocker Liz Landon, of the volleyball team, recorded 26 kills and committing just one attack error – with an attack percentage of .610 -- in Lady Gov wins against Murray State and Eastern Kentucky. Landon earned OVC Offensive Player of the Week honors, her first career weekly honor from the conference.
  • Senior Xiamar Richards, of the women’s cross-country team, was runner-up for a third consecutive meet at Saturday’s Greater Louisville Cross Country Classic, finishing the 5K Blue race with a season-best 17:50.98 mark.
  • Senior Anthony Bradley, of the men’s golf team, finished 10th overall at the Badger Invitational, shooting a four-over par 220 (72-73-75) despite blustery conditions at the University Ridge Golf Course. Behind Bradley’s shooting, the Govs finished fifth out of 14 squads.
